Public Notice Regarding Drill 2

The public is hereby notified of a drill exercise for frontliners as part of Tonga's preparedness and response plan for COVID-19.

The drill will take place from 10am to 3pm on Tuesday 23 June, 2020.

Only authorized persons are allowed in the areas where drill will take place which is Fua'amotu International Airport and Tanoa Hotel from 10am to 3pm.

It is a simulation exercise of a flight arriving with passengers.

Please take note that there will be no incoming flight nor will there be incoming passengers.

It is a drill exercise with actors role playing to allow frontliners to practise their response.

Buses in a convoy will be escorted by Tonga Police. Please keep the roads clear; only authorised vehicles may join the convoy.

Part of Tupoulahi Road beginning from end of MTED's parking area to Vuna Road and from the intersection of Vuna Road and Fatafehi Road by the bus stop will be temporarily closed while the drill exercise is underway.

Only authorized persons can be at Tanoa Hotel during the drill exercise. The public are advised to stay away from these aforementioned areas.

We ask your cooperation and that you adhere to the instructions from Tonga Police, HIs Majesty's Armed Forces and the Ministry of Health.
